John "Johnny” Mack Smith

John “Johnny” Mack Smith, 74, a native of Houma and resident of Montegut, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by two sons, David J. Smith and wife, Randa; and Tommy J. Smith and wife, Dawn, of Montegut; three grandchildren, Amber Nicole Smith, Candie Ann Smith and Somer E. Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Aryianna Nicole Dardar and Haylee Denise Boudreaux. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mae Crochet Smith; his parents, David Mack Smith and Bernice Marcel Smith; and two sis-ters, Dorothy S. Blanchard and Florence S. Domangue. He was a retired boat captain and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church
