John “Tom” Thomas Campo, 69, died Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 10:30 PM. He was a native of Youngstown, OH and resident of Houma, LA.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with a burial following at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
He is survived by his,
wife of 47 years, Anna "Ann" Michael Koval Campo; sons, Thomas "Tommy" Anthony Campo and wife, Koty, Dr. Christopher "Chris" Michael Campo and wife Sara, and Phillip Jonathan Campo and wife, Michelle; daughter, Danielle Christina Campo Cheramie and husband, Dean; sister, Ellen Patricia Hoover and husband, Roy "Punky"; grandchildren, Abigail, Taylor, Morgan and Dale Campo, Darian and Brianna Cheramie, Chris Yesso and Ian Duplantis; niece/godchild, Jennifer Hoover.
He was preceded in death by his,
parents, John Arthur and Rita Ann Haley Campo.
He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church.
He was an independent accountant with J. Thomas Campo Accounting and Tax Service in Houma for over 30 years. He held several positions with the Kiwanis Club. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Civitan Club. He was an avid Saints fan, collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia, and racehorse owner. He enjoyed traveling, telling jokes, and spending time with his grandchildren.
