He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Landry Daigle in 2010, his parents Edward and Gertrude “Momie” Daigle, his sister Elizabeth “Chibby” Begue, and his brother Gerald Daigle. Bobby was devoted to his siblings, his family, 42 nieces and nephews and numerous other family friends. He was a humble man always ready to share his many talents of fixing anything and everything. Our family tradition of sharing weekly gatherings began with Momie’s Saturday breakfast with her boys. Bobby and Virginia began their own version with Sunday fried chicken lunch and it has evolved into Sunday morning breakfast for the past 10 years. He so loved having family as well as guests for the weekly event. This event has given his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren memories that will last a life time. The greatest gifts he gave his 8 children are each other and the love of family to share holidays, Sunday breakfast and family traditions. He was a watchmaker and Master Jeweler opening Daigle’s Jewelry in 1952. He was one of the first avid runners in Houma running for 57 years and continuing to walk until 85 years of age. His children share many memories of Sunday swims, walks to Grandma’s and playing in our playhouse. Although Bobby was a man of few words, he will always be treasured by family and friends alike.
