Ann Meredith Daunis McCulla 1934-2014 Annie Mannie passed away on Monday, October 20th. Ann Meredith Daunis McCulla, wife, mother, caregiver and fan was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, F. Edward McCulla, her parents Earl "Bubba" Daunis and Meredith Wallis Daunis and Sister Mary Earl "Cissy" Daunis Bourgeois and husband Vernon Bourgeois. She is survived by her three children, Eddie McCulla and wife Sheri, Mindy McCulla Peltier, and Harry McCulla and wife Evelyn. 6 grandchildren, Rusti McCulla and wife Kara, JJ Peltier Wise and husband Andrew, Steve Peltier, Meredith Peltier, Cameron McCulla and Callyn McCulla. 3 great grandchildren, Ashley Peltier, Kate Wise and Miley Jo McCulla. The sound of laughter could always be heard from Ann's direction. Her beautiful red hair advertised a joy for life that served anyone that was fortunate enough to cross her path. Ann's personality was perfect for caregiving. She was an ICU nurse at Terrebonne General Hospital for many years until becoming one of the first home health nurses in this area. Annie Mannie was always there to provide expertise and comfort for her patients, friends and family members throughout the years. Ann had a rich social life that always included her beloved friends from the class of '52 at Terrebonne High. She and Ed were members of the Mardi Gras crews, Hyacinthians and Terreanians. Annie Mannie may have been most at home in the stands, supporting her children from little league to dance recitals through high school football to professional baseball. She was always front and center at the games, leading the cheers. Annie Mannie was a one of a kind spirit that will be deeply missed by everyone. Services will be at St Francis de Sales Cathedral on Monday, October 27. 9:00am until funeral time at 12-noon. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
