Antoine "Calock" Hillary Bourg, 83, a native of Dulac and resident of Houma, died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. today at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Pitre Bourg of Houma; two sons, Blaine Bourg and wife, Wanda, of Duson, and Deron Bourg and wife, Deborah, of Houma; one daughter, Melanie Fabre and husband, Terry, of Houma; one sister, Hattie "Meon" LeBlanc of Lafitte; four grandchildren, Jansen Bourg, Meredith Bourg, Lauren Bourg and Jackson Fabre; five great-grandchildren, Hagen Nettie, Logan Chauvin, Parker Blackman, Gavin Bourg and Kole Bourg; and two step-grandsons, Brandon Ruttley and Christopher Ruttley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Bourg and Amelia Bellamore Bourg; six brothers, Felix, Robert, Dennis, Murphy, Sidney and Lane Bourg; and six sisters, Mary Hebert, Alfreda Voisin, Bernice Bordelon, Pearl Mayfield, Victoria Pontiff and Mabel Bourg.
He was a retired commercial fisherman and managed Grand Caillou Recreation Center for 16 years. He served in combat in First Calvary in World War II. He enjoyed gardening, going to the casino and hunting and fishing with his boys. He loved spending time with his family.
He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.
