Marie Lovina "Lou" LeBoeuf Hebert, 89, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Penny Kangers and husband, Ray, Roxanne Jackson and husband, Darrell, and Tanya Cross and husband, John; sons, David Hebert and wife, Melinda, and John Hebert and wife, Theresa; sister, Leona LeBoeuf Robichaux; grandchildren, Cindy Kangers Hensley, Stephen Kangers, Darrell Jackson Jr., Benjamin Cross, Lydia Kangers, Casey Hebert, Keri Cross Matherne, Joanna Kangers Thorndyke, Erin Hebert, Rebekah Hebert, and Haley Hebert; step-grandchildren, Samantha Pearce and Allyson Nobles; and great-grandchildren, Bryce, Trey, Brayden, Brianna, Payton, Jackson, Carter, Parker, Jonathan, Hadleigh, and Melia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas P. Hebert; parents, Claude and Emma Naquin LeBoeuf; brother, Irvy LeBoeuf; and sister, Lois LeBoeuf Bergeron.
Marie was an operator for Bell Telephone during World War II until 1956. She was a hospital volunteer and Girl Scout leader for many years. She was a charter parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and president of the Mother's Club at Holy Rosary School. She was a devoted wife and mother with tireless dedication to her extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
