Wendolyn “Tillie” Marie Hebert Baker, 69, a native of Port Arthur, Texas, and resident
of Houma, died at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Eloi Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Baker Sr. of Houma; two sons, Douglas Baker Jr. and wife, Janet Baker, of LaPlace, and Allen Baker and wife, Delia, of
Houston; one brother, Louis “Bubba” Hebert of Groves, Texas; one sister, Myrna
Smith of Port Arthur; four grandchildren, Matthew Baker, Austin Baker, Ashley Brumfield and husband, Joshua Brumfield and Amber Baker; and one great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Hebert and Ida Mae Borel Hebert.
She managed insurance offices with Andy Paines State Farm Insurance in Many.
She was active in the church and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
She was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church.
