Alphonse Pershing Hebert, 83, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9:14 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2008.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Annunziata Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in
Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his companion, Rosemary Walker of Houma; two daughters, Donna Hutchinson and husband, Ray Hutchinson, and Charlene Lottinger and husband, Richard Lottinger, of Houma; one brother, Guion Hebert of Houma; six grandchildren, Britt Lottinger, Johnny Lottinger, Richie Lottinger, Brianne Lottinger, Brad Hutchinson and Byron Hutchinson; two great-grandchildren, Dillion Lottinger
and Taylor Lottinger; his godchild, Pam Hille; one nephew, Rocky Hebert; and his companion’s children, John Walker, Jimmy Walker, Alden Walker, Kathryn Moore, Charlotte Gaspard, Mary Kellis and Betty Coulon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse C. Hebert and Irene Trahan Hebert; and one nephew, Michael Hebert.
He was a retired oilfield cook with Texaco of 32 years and a retired deputy of Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Department of 38 years. He was a member of
Terranians Carnival Club, Moose Lodge and loved his garden.
The family would like to thank Bayou Region Hospice and his personal caregivers, Mabel Neal and Philip Bergeron.
He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
