Roger Joseph Paul Picou Sr., 61, a native of Napoleonville and resident of Gray,
died at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at
Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral
home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Marie Barnhill Picou of Gray; two sons, Ricky James
Picou Sr. and wife, Angel, of Houma, and Roger Joseph Paul Picou of Orlando, Fla.;
one half-sister, Irene Waguespack and husband, Leonard Waguespack, of
Covington; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brian Picou and Rita Griffin Picou; and
one sister, Odessa Trosclair.
He was a retired wireline supervisor with Global Oil Tools and a U.S. Marine
veteran. He was a member of the VFW in Dulac and the Knights of Columbus, 3rd
degree, and National Marine Corp League.
He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
