Arthur Jacobs

Arthur Jacobs, 85, a native of Noble and resident of Houma, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by one son, Kevin Jacobs; one daughter, Terri Gideon and husband, Bobby, of Raceland; one sister, Grace McDaniel of Calhoun; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Herring Jacobs; his parents, Mitch Jacobs and Elizabeth Bisson Jacobs; and three sisters, Hazel Taylor, Sybil Wilson and Marie Jacobs. He was a retired supervisor with Homco and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
