Junior Joseph Deroche, 83, a native of Montegut and resident of Houma, died at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home.
Liturgy of the Word will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by three sons, Pat Deroche, Kerry Deroche and Leslie Deroche of Houma; one daughter, Shelia Dusenberry of Gray; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudette Breaux Deroche; his parents, Willie Deroche and Emma Hebert Deroche; one son-in-law, Tommy Dusenberry Sr.; one brother, Wilbert Deroche; and four sisters, Rita Deroche Hebert, Thelma Prosperie, Lela Plessala and Lena Hebert.
He was a retired boat captain with Theriot Offshore Marine and a member of the Woodmen of the World.
He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
