Sterling Joseph Liner, Sr. 74 years old, resident of Theriot, Louisiana died peacefully at home in the midst of several loving family members.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Friday, June 27, 2014 from 9:00am to 11:00am at St. Eloi Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Eloi Catholic Church.
Burial: St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery.
He is survived by wife of 57 years Geraldine Callahan Liner and sons Sterling "Payne" Liner Jr, (wife Lavonne), Wade "Petey" Liner, (wife Charlotte), Michael "Mike" Liner, daughters, Veronica "DeeDee" Babin (husband Robert), Tracy Lovell (husband Eric), Paula Sue Dufrene (husband Brian), Sarah Coyle (companion Roy Dean); fourteen (14) proud grandchildren, April Vestal, Stephen and Brent Liner, Rebecca Foret, Brooks, Dylan and Wesley Dehart, Victoria and Christopher Lovell, Brian (BJ) and Eddie Dufrene, Dante and Riley Liner, Joshua Coyle, and nine (9) great grandchildren, two brothers Sines "Doogie" Liner Jr and Eldrich "Nun" Liner, and one sister Wilda "Butsy" Hebert . He was preceded in death by son, Yancy Paul Liner, parents Sines Peter Liner Sr. and Malvina Liner, sister Verlin Hebert.
He was a parishioner, Eucharist Minister and Usher at St. Eloi Catholic Church, a member of Dularge Volunteer Department, a St. Eloi 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus #8779, and a Holy Family Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus #2215. By trade, Mr. Liner was a commercial fisherman and trawl netter/craftsman. He will be dearly missed by all family and friends.
