Janet Toups

Janet Poiencot Toups, 69, lost her battle with cancer Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11:37 PM. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 9:00am to 11:00am at St. Ann Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Ann Catholic Church. Burial: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. She is survived by her, Husband of 50 years, James "Jimmy" Toups, Son, James "Bee" Patrick Toups and wife Alicia of Gray, LA Daughter, Jody Elizabeth Toups Dupre and husband Troy of Houma, LA, 4 Grandchildren, Katie Elizabeth Dupre, Stephanie Ann Dupre, Beau James Toups, Joshua William Hensel, Sisters, Patricia Poiencot Sanchez and husband Roberto, Sandra Poiencot Duplantis and husband Murray, Katherine Poiencot LeCompte and husband Franklin, Kathleen Poiencot Brunet and husband Theodore, Debra Poiencot Bollinger and husband Kenny, and Cheryl Poiencot Poiencot and husband Virgus. She was preceded in death by her, Parents, Nolan Joseph Poiencot and Clemence Marie Chaisson Poiencot. She was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. Janet enjoyed crafting, traveling and fishing. She loved spending time with her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Janet Toups to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at Terrebonne General.
