Joseph “Boy” Loveless Verdin, 71, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Dulac, died at 6:27 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008.
Visitation will be from 3 until 10 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home chapel, with burial at Holy Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Fazzio Verdin; four daughters, Donna Verdin; Gail Duthu, and husband, Chris; Karen Billiot, and husband, John; and Deana Aycock of
Houma; one brother, Roy P. Verdin, and wife, Marlene, of Dulac; two sisters, Rita Verdin of Dulac and Dorothy “Sue” Billiot of Lafayette; 12 grandchildren; Christy, Kenny, Nick, Dugan, Keith, Jeff, Jenna, Angele, Chumpy, Alesha, Kim and Clara;
and 11 great-grandchildren, Tristan, Kyle, Emily, Paige, Chrislyn, Jonathan, Aylana’,
Bryson, Khiya, Jeffry and Liam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. Verdin and Stella Lodrigue Verdin; and one brother, Wilbert Verdin.
He was a retired fisherman. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church
