Jeanette Ann Babin Picou

Jeanette Ann Babin Picou, 79, a native of Houma and resident of Thibodaux, died at 8:09 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Mathews Episcopal Church. Mass will be at noon Tuesday at the church, with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Richard Kenneth Toups of Thibodaux, Robert Charles Toups, and wife, Sharon, of Houma; one daughter, Gayle Francis Toups Daigle of Marrero; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford “Dean” Picou; her parents, Harry O. Babin and Marguerite Pellegrin Babin; her son-in-law Philip Daigle; her brother, Hugh “Red” Babin; her grandparents, Ernest and Marie Toups Babin, Arthur Lee Pellegrin and Josephine Pertuit Pellegrin. She was a member of Eastern Star and parishioner of St. Mathews Episcopal Church.
