Bertrand “Bert” Philip Carlos, 57, a native and resident of Houma, died at 7:45 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2008.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Karla Trotter Carlos of Houma; one son, Joshua Carlos of Houma; two daughters, Lauren Molaison and husband Jaime of Knoxville, Tenn., and Kimmie Carlos of Houma; one brother, Gerald “Jerry” Carlos and wife, Beth Carlos, of Gray; one sister Mona C. Pellegrin of Houma; his mother and father-in-law, Betty and Don Trotter; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tim McElroy and wife, Teryl Trotter McElroy, Donna Trotter Fagan and husband, Jay Fagan, and Ruth Carlos of Houma; and his loving pet Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph Carlos and Felma Bourg Carlos; one brother, Randolph “Randy” Carlos Jr.; one sister, Barbara C. Whitney; and two brothers-in-law Robert Whitney and Ernest Pellegrin.
He was in business development with Baker Energy.
Bert was first a loving Dad to his children and a devoted husband to Karla. Beyond his love for his family, Bert loved cooking for his extended family and will be remembered for his joy of fishing and his passion for football.
