Richard Miles

Richard Allen Miles, 63, a native of Tellcity, Ind., and resident of Gulfport, Miss., died at 8:38 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2008. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport. He is survived by his wife, Hope Powell Miles of Gulfport; three sons, Jimmy Miles, Ricky Miles of Gulfport and Allen Simon of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Dennis Miles and Kippy Miles of Tennessee; one sister, Kyra Jean Wilson of Tennessee; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Miles and Eva Pollard Miles; and one brother, Tommy Miles. He was owner and president of Hope Services and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
