Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Liturgy of the World will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.
Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2
She is survived by her sons, Wayne M. Champagne and wife Shirley Fanguy Champagne, Bruce P. Champagne Sr., wife Mary Dusenberry Champagne, Jerry M. Champagne wife Diana Bollich Champagne of Orange TX;
brothers, Floyd A. Bergeron, Melvin A. Bergeron and Shirley Bergeron, Terry A. Bergeron, Lanny J. Bergeron, Algier Bergeron, sisters, Janet Bergeron Wells, husband Don Wells of Mooresville, North Carolina, Meril Bergeron Allen of Pacific Grove, California. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Angie White, Bruce Champagne Jr., Corinne Hendricks, Melissa Kelley, Brandon Champagne, Andrew Champagne, Brittany Champagne, Patrick Bollich, and eightteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Edward Peter "King" Champagne, second husband Charles Edward Rich, parents, Stanley Joseph Bergeron Sr. and Doris Thibodeaux Bergeron, grandson Brooks M. Champagne, brothers, Rev. Stanley Joseph Bergeron Jr., Elton Peter Bergeron, grandparents Gustave Isaac Bergeron and Aliska Henry Bergeron, Oliver Thibodeaux and Ida Roddy Thibodeaux Lapeyrouse.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She most enjoyed fishing, shrimping, hunting, traveling, especially bowling, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
