Velma Trahan

Velma Guidry Trahan, 85, died peacefully in her home on April 24, 2014 at 3:15am. She was a native of Galliano, LA and resident of Houma, LA.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Monday, April 28, 2014 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11:00am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.Burial: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery  She is survived by her, Spouse of 66 years of marriage: Albert Trahan, Son: Perry Paul Trahan and wife Cynthia Lirette Trahan of Cypress TX, Brothers: Richard Guidry, Roy Guidry, Grandchildren: Cheryl Trahan Degruise, Brent Trahan, Eddie Trahan, Mindy Trahan Brewer, Joey Trahan, Jeremy Trahan, and Steven Trahan, She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her,Parents: Gracien and Augusta Chouest Guidry, Son: Albert Joseph "Butch" Trahan, and Granddaughter: Julia Trahan,  She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  She was the perfect wife and mother to her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
