Manda “Mandy” Marie Blanchard Gautreaux, 82, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2014. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral Friday, April 25, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her four sons, Donald Gautreaux and wife, Mary, Michael Gautreaux, Kenneth Gautreaux, and Jay P. Gautreaux and wife, Susan; one daughter, Anita Gautreaux; Ten grandchildren, Michele Garcia, Corey Gautreaux, Celeste Gautreaux, Danny Neal, Jr, Dean Neal, Donald “Joey” Gautreaux, Jr, Dexter Neal, Derek Gautreaux, Tyler Gautreaux, and Jayden Gautreaux; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and three brothers, Durey Blanchard, Ronnie Blanchard and wife, Margaret, Raymond Blanchard and wife, Shirley. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Chester J. and Louise Guy Blanchard; husband, Joseph R. Gautreaux; one daughter-in-law, Helena T. Gautreaux; one grandchild, James Neal; two brothers, Chester P. Blanchard, Cyrus Blanchard; and two sisters, Leona B. Pellegrin and Mildred B. Dupre. She enjoyed going to the Chauvin Senior Citizens Center and participating in all their activities. She really enjoyed playing Bingo, crocheting, and spending time with all of her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild.
