Huey Joseph Hebert Jr., 49, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Huey Joseph Hebert Sr. and Betty Stoufflet Hebert of Houma; his longtime companion, Tina Trahan; one son, Huey Joseph Hebert III and wife, Jeri Dawn Hebert, of Houston; two daughters, Staff Sgt. Kristie Dawn Spielhagen and husband, Sgt. 1st Class Chris, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Chassie Marie Hebert of Houma; three brothers, Donnie James Hebert of Houma, Dale Michael Hebert of Thibodaux and Freddie Jude Hebert and wife, Celeste, of Houma; one sister, Lana Freeman and husband, Dallas Freeman, of Houma; his grandmother, Josephine Stoufflet; four grandchildren, Tyla Hebert, Clara Hebert, Isaiah Hebert and Brianna Speilhagen; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Weldon Stoufflet, Loudovic Hebert Sr. and Cecile Carlos Hebert.
He was a car repairman with City Body and Fender and Porche Wholesale. His passion was raising exotic birds, fishing, cooking and classic cars.
