Evelyn Holmes

Evelyn Cuneo Holmes, 71, died Thursday, April 3, 2014  at 09:05 PM. She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA.   Visitation will be held onSaturday, April 5, 2014 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM  at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial: St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.   She is survived by her, sons, Mark Holmes and wife Becky Campo Holmes, Laurel, MS, Ken Holmes and wife Susan Boudreaux Holmes, Montevallo, AL, grandchildren, Erica Holmes Craft and husband Jody, Jonathan Holmes and wife Rachel, Taylor Holmes and wife Ashley,great grandchildren, Eli Roberts and Gracie Craft,brother, Errol Cuneo and wife Rose, Chauvin, LA. She was preceded in death by her, parents, Lucius Cuneo and Ruby Boudreaux Cuneo.   She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a retired Secretary from Chabert Medical Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, and loved watching old western movies.  The family would like to thank Ms. Brenda Woods for her loving caretaking as well as her friends; Bernadette Breaux, Sidney and Beverly Boudreaux, Carolyn Trosclair, Larry Thibodeaux, Peewee and Ann Duthu, Martha Duplantis for their love and care throughout the years. A special thanks as well to the employees and staff of The Oaks of Houma.
