Irene Abadie

Irene Rita Abadie, 87, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 6:00PM-9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 8:00AM-service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10:00AM at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her, daughter, Katherine A. Champagne, brother, Abel Pontiff, sister, Earline Trahan, grandchildren, Alisa Champagne, Rebecca DeHart and husband Preston, Tiffany Moore and husband Lynn, great grandchildren, Farrah DeHart, Brandon DeHart, Shaylie DeHart, and Brittney Moore great great grandchildren, Jaidalynn, Johnathon, Aubrey, Zayne and Jayden. She was preceded in death by her, husband, Raymond Joseph Abadie, parents, Abel and Helen Pontiff, brothers, Edmond Pontiff, Edward Pontiff, Joseph Pontiff, and sister, Lucille Pontiff. Irene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
