Jaime Pineda, 86, a native of Bogota, Colombia, and resident of Houma, died at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline Authement Pineda of Houma; three daughters, Elizabeth Domangue and husband, Travis, of Bayou Vista, Carolyn Champagne and husband, David "Dave", and Patricia "Tricia" Pettingill and husband, Mika, of Broussard; one sister, Margarita Robledo of Bogota; six grandchildren, Danielle Alfred, Amanda Coyne, Shannon Coyne, Grant Domangue, Ryan Coyne and Sean Pettingill; and one nephew, Ivan Robledo of Coral Springs, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Heloise Pineda; and his parents, Gabrielle Pineda and Librada Quientero Pineda.
He was former co-owner of Star Printing. He had a passionate love for music and dancing and an interest in science.
He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
