Corinne Wallace Routier, 98, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Houma, joined her Lord in Heaven at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by one son, Louis E. Routier Jr. of Houma; five daughters, Joyce R. McNeely of Houston, Barbara Lee Lapeyre of San Benito, Texas, Corinne R. Comeaux of New Orleans, Carolyn R. Pritchard of Dallas, and Annette R. Charpentier of Houma; one sister, Mildred Henderson of Houma; 28 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Routier Sr.; her parents, Emile Wallace and Emma Lirette Wallace; two grandsons, John Comeaux and Harold Lapeyre; two great-grandsons, Joey Fisher and Benton Routier; three sons-in-law, Louis Lapeyre Sr., Branch McNeely Jr. and Buddy Comeaux; five brothers, Everett, Emile, Cody, Albert and Ernest Wallace; and five sisters, Verna Schwinn, Irene Porche, Gladys Bergeron, Anne Pitre and Ezelle Dillard.
She was a homemaker and a devoted Catholic. She loved her family and her church. She will be greatly missed.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
