Salvador "Sam" Lawrence Morello

Salvador "Sam" Lawrence Morello, a native and resident of Houma, died Monday, June 23, 2008. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Rogers-Matherne Cemetery. He is survived by two sisters, Anna Rita Morello Rosenberger Soileau and Marie Morello Clark of Houma; three nephews, Lawrence Morello, Jake Morello Jr. and Timmy Clark; and his extended family, Linda and Mark Theriot of Bayou Blue, April and Joe Thibodeaux, Chelesa, Jeremy and Brad Thibodeaux. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Morello and Marie Antonia Cannella Morello; one brother, Jake J. Morello; and one infant sister, Angelina Morello. He was self-employed merchant and a member of the Italian Society. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
