Reginald Abel Lirette Sr., 101, died Friday, December 27, 2013. He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Services were held for the family at St. Francis De Sales Cathedral in Houma, LA. He is survived by his, Daughter: Tina Lirette Elfert and husband Richard, Brothers: Elliot Lirette, Murray Lirette and wife Beverly, Dale Lirette, Sister: Shirley Lirette Thibodeaux, Grandchildren: Mollie Lirette Borne and husband Ben, Keith Lirette and wife Andrea, Pamela Lirette Gyan and husband Joe, Lyndel Lirette Dryden and husband J.J., Dennis Elfert and wife Kim, and Michelle Elfert McCain and husband John, and step grandson Justin Clements and wife Kendra. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren, two great gredat grandchildren, and two daughters in law, Cindy Lirette and Mollie Hoffmann and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his, Spouse: Marjorie Schexnaildre Lirette, Parents:Alex and Edith Prejean Lirette, Son:Reginald A. Lirette Jr.,and Keith Joseph Lirette, Brothers: Conrad Lirette,and Raymond Lirette, Sisters: Elizabeth Dawson, and Marian Russell. He was an active member of St. Francis Cathedral Ushers and the St. Vincent De Paul Society. His favorite pastime was hunting and fishing. He enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with family and friends.
