Leland Joseph Robichaux Jr., 67, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, June 1, 2008.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Cunningham Robichaux of Houma; two sons, Ricky Robichaux Sr. of Houma and Dicky Robichaux of Houston; one daughter, Lisa Robichax Boudreaux and husband, Ray Boudreaux, of Houma; two brothers, Alton Robichaux of Gulfport, Miss., and Alex Robichaux and wife, Camille Robichaux, of Houma; five sisters, Mildred Robichaux and husband, Donald Robichaux, Wilda Bergeron, Diane Pellegrin and husband, Ray Pellegrin, Paula Smith and husband, Jack Smith, of Houma, and Myra Hearn and husband, Ken Hearn, of Houston; and eight grandchildren, Christopher, Kiri, Bridget, Skyler, Ricky Jr., Alisa, Angel and Jayden Robichaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland J. Robichaux Sr. and Villa Blanchard Robichaux; one son, Todd Robichaux; and one sister, Susan Eckford.
He was worked in the oil-and-gas industry for 42 years and was a sales manager for Oil-States in Houma, SCIA, Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce, Board Member, Morganza Action, Coalition, Director and Houma Police Department for four years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, past Grand Knight and 4th degree and Councilman with District 6.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to your charity of choice.
He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
