Jeanette Bourg Luke, 74, a native and resident of Chauvin, died peacefully during the Rosary Prayer at 12:07 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A candlelight celebratory rosary will be at 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, Reynold Luke Jr. and wife, Christi, Don Luke and wife, Joyce, of Chauvin, and Randy Luke and wife, Tiffany, of Houma; four daughters, Patsy L. DuBois of Houma, Patty L. Chatagnier and husband, Wade, of Florien, Nancy L. Foret and husband, Larry, of Houma, and Tammy L. Jumel and husband, Mike, of Lake Charles; two brothers, Julius Bourg and wife, Velma, of Montegut and Olden Bourg of Bayou Dularge; three sisters, Janice B. Neil and husband, Roy, of Chauvin, Norma Jean B. Scott and husband, Magnus, and Annette B. Kligman and husband, Floyd of Houma; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reynold Luke Sr.; her parents, Irving Bourg and Eunice Bergeron Bourg; one son-in-law, Warren DuBois; one sister-in-law, Laura Bourg; one grandchild, Linden Luke; and one great-grandchild, Cameron LeBeouf.
She was mother of seven and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
