R. Earl Liner Sr., 84, a native of Ruston and resident of Houma, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2008.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. today at Mulberry Baptist Church. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Greenwood Cemetery in Ruston.
He is survived by one son, R. Earl Liner Jr. of Ruston; three daughters, Linda St. Martin and husband, Louis, of Raceland, Cindy Daigle and Phyllis Martin and husband, Anthony, of Houma; four sisters, Ruth Saucier of Shreveport, Grace White, Mable Best and Pat Williamson of Ruston; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Manning Liner; his parents, Ezra Jefferson Liner and Lois Gibson Liner; and two brothers, Alton and Lester Liner.
He was a retired superintendent with Placid Oil Co. and a member at Mulberry Baptist Church.
