Leroy Grant Johnson, 81, died Thursday, October 17, 2013. He was a native of Houma, La and resident of Thibodaux, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 5:00PM-9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 8:00AM-11:00AM at First United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00AM at First United Methodist Church. Burial: Garden of Memories Cemetery. He is survived by his, wife, Lottie Oncale Johnson stepsons, Gerard (Alison) Arcement, Barry (Dena) Arcement stepdaughter, Joan (Troy) Bourgeois, grandchildren, Jacob, Casey, Allie, Blake, Cody, Rustin, Brandon, Brody, Drake great grandchildren, Leila, Dalan, Gunnar, Reed, Izaiah brother, William Macauley Johnson, nephew, Derrick Johnson He was preceded in death by his, parents, LeRoy Johnson and Francis Grant Johnson and brother, Earnest Johnson. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He graduated from Terrebonne High School in 1950, Southern Methodist University of Dallas where he received a PHD in Law and a Louisiana Law degree from Tulane University. He was a retired attorney in Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes after 55 years. In retirement he loved singing in the church choir, gardening, fishing, and watching Saints and LSU football games. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 39 years and family and friends.
