Allen Joseph Belanger

Allen Joseph Belanger, 90, a native and resident of Houma, died at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marjorie LeCompte Belanger of Houma; one son, Marvin Belanger and wife, Kim; one daughter, Mary Anne B. Hipp and husband, Donovan; one brother, Hubert F. Belanger and wife, Theresa; one sister, Sarah Belanger Eschete; four granddaughters, Amy Hipp Nolan and husband, Martin, Kathryn Belanger Larose and husband, Brian, Anne Belanger and Allison Belanger; two great-grandchildren, Abigail Nolan and Zoe Nolan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert N. Belanger and Maude Eschete Belanger; three brothers, Gayden Belanger, P. Hewitt Belanger and Morris Belanger; and one sister, Mary Belanger Duet. He was retired with Lapeyrouse Auto Parts and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Louis Infant Center.
