Una Ruth Eschete Bonvillain, 90, a native and resident of Houma, died 6:40 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. A
mass of Christian burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1.
She is survived by two sons, David, and wife Dianne Konieczka Bonvillain, Randy
and wife Jill Doiron Bonvillain; three daughters, Rhonda Bonvillain Darsey and
husband Paul; Cathy Bonvillain Dupont, and husband Mike; Judy Bonvillain
Champagne; and Susan Bonvillain Smith; 11 grandchildren, Craig Dupont and
Michelle Dupont Levron, Adam and Chris Darsey, Brett, Brian and Lauren
Bonvillain, Brittany Bonvillain, Kim Champagne and Kristi Champagne Blanchard
and Roger Smith Jr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert “Nootsie” Bonvillain; her son,
Kenny Bonvillain; her parents, Joseph and Elise Bergeron Eschete; three brothers,
Bob, Abbey and Paul Eschete; and five sisters, Nora Pellegrin, Cecile Pellegrin,
Cora Boudreaux, Rosa Eschete and Irene Boudreaux.
She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by her
family. She was a devout Catholic and loved St. Francis de Sales Parish. Our family
would like to extend thanks to Heritage Manor Nursing Home and St. Catherine
Hospice. We also would like to thank Dr. Ray Cinnater, Dr. Jules Dupont and Nancy
Warren for their kindness and support.
