Pearl Robichaux Blanchard, 99, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Chauvin, LA died at 1:40 AM, Friday August 2, 2013.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Monday, August 5, 2013 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
She is survived by three sisters, Mae Shelley of California, Onita Babin of Houma and Wilma Howard of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Nook” Blanchard, her parents, Alphonse and Nettie LeBlanc Robichaux; two brothers, Allen and Rudolph Robichaux, Sr.; four sisters Beulah Chauvin, Mildred Desormeaux, Wilda “Pete” Desormeaux and Hilda Dupre.
She had many nephews and nieces.
She worked for the Chauvin Brothers Packing Company for over 40 years and retired from the Terrebonne Parish School Board as a custodian.
