Sidney Meyers, 76, a native of Carencro and resident of Houma, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Lollie Barker Meyers of Houma; two sons, Donald Wayne Meyers and wife, Sheila, of Houma, and Christopher Dale Meyers and wife, Brandy, of Youngsville; two daughters, Romona M. Marcel and husband, James Jr., of Houma, and Jennifer Ann Meyers Boudreaux and husband, Richard Jr., of Labadieville; one brother, Whitney Meyers and wife, Rita, of Biloxi, Miss.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Meyers and Ada Credeur Meyers.
He was a retired truck driver with Raymond Fabrication and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
