Donna Jean Anderson Beason, a native of Clinton, IN and a resident of Houma, passed away at 3:37pm Thursday, June 20, 2013 due to complications of multiple sclerosis. Donna passed way peacefully at home in her sleep.
Per Donna's wishes, there will be no formal services. She will be cremated and her ashes will put into Big Deer Bayou down Bayou Dularge near where she caught her first redfish. A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, J. Watt Beason, sister-in-law Cheryl Dover and husband John; brother-in-law Stephen Beason and wife Tamra; nieces Donna Warciski and husband Glen, Hope Scott and husband Terry, Melissa Bascle and husband Matt, Amie Dover, Angie Chambers and husband Lance, Nichole Savoie and husband Corey; nephews Andy Dover and Dwayne Beason. She is also survived by her "adopted" sister Julia Ledet Toups, her "adopted" brother-in-law Paul Martello and her beloved pet toy poodle Luckey.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Anderson and her father Manley Anderson.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ray Cinnater and his staff for their tender loving care over the years of Donna's illnesses. She worked for Dr. Cinnater for many years and loved being around him. They would also like to thank Dr. Jules Dupont and the staff of Hospice of Louisiana with special thanks to nurse Grace Guthrie and aide Elanor Lee for their tender care. Also, thanks goes out to the staff of Terrebonne General Medical Center, The Medical Team, and Dr. Donald Gervais.
Donna was associated with the Terrebonne Parish Coroner's Office for over forty years until she retired in 2004. She was a Coroner Administrative Assistant. She loved to be in the boat with Watt whenever he was going fishing for redfish, and did so until her illness prevented her from going. She also loved crossword puzzles and reading.
She will be grealty missed by family and firends.
