Agnes Carroll

Agnes Duplechain Carroll, 80, died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 5:28 AM. She was a native of Oberlin, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 12:00 PM until service time at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Bayou Black Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Darrin Paul Carroll and wife Melissa, Houma, LA, daughter, Jeanne Carroll Richard, Houma, LA, grandchildren, Shantelle Abshire, Tiffany Van Pelt, Ross Carroll, Jacob Richard, Alexandra Richard, Jarod Richard, Jennifer Richardel, Amy Bonneval, Matthew Kirkland, Meredith Foreman, Michael Kirkland, several great grandchildren, brother, James Duplechain, sisters, Cecile Blair, Kathy Maynard and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tansey and Buela Fusilier Duplechain, sisters, Anne Barid, Della Mills, Betty Maddox. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She touched many lives in the community as Mom Carroll of the Ellendale Swim Team. She was a very active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at Maria Immaculata Catholic Church. She was a part-owner of Bent Pages Bookstore for many years. She cared for many and will missed by all who knew her.
