Dennis Joseph Thibodaux, 90, a native of Bourg and a resident of Montegut, died at 4:25 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Montegut Fire Station and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in St. Ann Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughters, Yvonne Thibodaux of Montegut and Melanie Strassel and husband, Bill, of Houma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Pinel Thibodaux; his parents, Frank and Felicia LeBoeuf Thibodaux; one son, Dennis Thibodaux Jr.; one foster son, John Pinel; one brother, Lloyd Thibodaux; and two sisters, Silicia Dupre and Mildred Thibodaux.
He was a retired roustabout for Texaco. He was a member of the American Legion in Montegut and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Bourg. He was a WWII United States Army Veteran.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
