Andrew Joseph Lirette

Andrew "Andy" Joseph Lirette, 74, a native and resident of Theriot, died at 10:56 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2008. Visitation will be from 3 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial in St. Eloi Cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Eula Mae LaCoste Lirette of Theriot; one daughter, Cindy Lirette of Houma; five sons, Wayne Lirette and wife, Cheryl of Houma, Guy Lirette and wife, Roxanne, Kevin Lirette and fiancé, Terry Francis of Theriot, Darrin Lirette and wife, Elizabeth and Ron Lirette and wife, Angie, of Houma; three sisters, Myrtle Lou Duplantis, Jan Lirette of Houma, and Judy Liner of Theriot; 15 grandchildren, Randy Pijor II, Paige Pijor, Dustin and wife, Brittany Pijor, Wayne Lirette II, Candise Lirette, Opal Lirette, Guy Lirette II, Brad Lirette, Bailey Lirette, Austin Lirette, Raegan Lirette, Darrin Lirette Jr., Mitchell Lirette and Luke Lirette; and five great-grandchildren, Kamron Lirette, Jordan Lirette, Chris DeJean III, Jakub Pijor and Cullen Nyssen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Idele DeHart Lirette; and two sisters, Mary Ann Bourg and Roberta Duplantis. He was a self-employed commercial fisherman and a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church.
