Catherine Agnes Gerchow Jeansonne

Catherine Agnes Gerchow Jeansonne, 94, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday April 5, 2008. Liturgy of the Word will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, June Sloan and husband, Larry, of Gallatin, Tenn., and Catherine Webre and husband, Dale, of Sunset; one son, Albert Jeansonne and wife, Julie, of Houma; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odom Joseph Jeansonne; her parents, Joseph A. Gerchow and Iren Curley Gerchow; two brothers, Robert Gerchow and Joseph Gerchow; and two sisters, Thelma Tramuta and Mae LaGuenec. She was a homemaker.
