Nho Huu Nguyen, 67, a native of Thanh Hoa Sam Son, Vietnam, and resident of Houma, died at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Vietnamese Mission Center, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Hoa Thi Nguyen of Houma; five sons, Tony Nguyen of Avondale, Quang Nguyen of Port Arthur, Texas, Phuong "Jessie" Nguyen of Houma, Long Nguyen of Baton Rouge and Peter Nguyen of Harvey; five daughters, Lan Nguyen of Harvey, Kathleen Nguyen of Baton Rouge, Ann Nguyen of Houma, Lisa Nguyen of Westwego and Linda Nguyen of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Am Nguyen of Florida and Cong Nguyen of Vietnam; two sisters, Sy Nguyen of San Jose, Calif., and Trang Nguyen of Houma; 25 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Yen Huu Nguyen and Mong Thi Nguyen.
He was a self-employed retired fisherman and a member of the Vietnamese Mission Center.
