Frances Modisette

Frances Ann Crump Modisette, 79, died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 3:42 AM. She was a native of Haynesville, LA and resident of Gray, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 10:30 AM until service time at First Baptist Church of Houma. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Houma. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Haynesville, Louisiana at 4:00 PM. She is survived by her husband, James Osburn Modisette, Gray, LA, daughters, Marr Shan Cagle and husband, Willard, Sicily, Italy, Cidney Ordoyne and husband Timmy, Schriever, LA, Darcee Bex and husband Russell, Lafayette, LA, grandchildren, Drew and Derrick Pope, Dallas, Matthew and Megan Cagle, Blake and Baylor Ordoyne, Logan and Ryan Bex, great grandchildren, Alexis Pope, Samantha Pope, Brayden Ordoyne, Aaden Pope and Aubrianna Pope, brother, Charles "Wayne" Crump and companion, Nancy Ellington, Shreveport, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Jack Crump and Eula Mae Rinicker Crump. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Houma. Frances taught for over thirty years at Terrebonne High School and H. L. Bourgeois High Schools. She then became a member of the Terrebonne Parish School Board for eight years. For the past ten years she was the Guidance Counselor at Upper Little Caillou Elementary, Point-Aux-Chenes Elementary and Boudreaux Canal Elementary. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial doantions be made to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, 7200 Desiard Street, Monroe, Louisiana.
