Mable Pierron Blanchard, 84, a native of Houma and resident of Chauvin, died at 9:40 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Junius P. "Neggie" Blanchard Jr. and wife, Faye, of Thibodaux; daughters, Beverly Trahan and husband, Davis, of Montegut, and Brenda Dawson and husband, Don of Malakoff, Texas; brothers, Leroy Pierron and wife, "Chickie" Pierron, of Houma, Al Pierron and wife, Monica, of Chauvin, Albert Pierron and wife, Loretta, of Houma, and Michael Pierron and wife, Barbara, of Thibodaux; sisters, Jean Detiveux and late husband, Raymond, of Chauvin, Teetsie Domangue and late husband, Kerry, of Grand Caillou, Joyce Foret and husband, Robert, of Houma, and Shirley Callahan and husband, "Buddy," of Houma; grandchildren, Mindy Roberson and husband, Matt, of Thibodaux; Jake Blanchard, of Thibodaux, Cindy Perk and husband, Travis, of Thibodaux, Corey Trahan, of Montegut, and Tina Howard and husband, Byron, of Dallas, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Emma Howard, Landry Howard, Maddie Perk and Morgan Perk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junius Paul Blanchard; parents, Albert Pierron and Emma Terrebonne Pierron; brothers, Minus, Alvin "Neggie," Wade, Ray, Mark and Terry Pierron; and sisters, Lucille Pierron and Mary Ann Theriot and husband, Johnny.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a resident of Heritage Manor in Houma.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
