Cleveland “Chris” Christopher Towns, 63, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 6:05 PM. He was a native of Shreveport, LA and resident of Montegut, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 9:00 AM until service time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Laura Ann Browning, Montegut, LA, daughters, Crystal Towns Allred and husband JR, Athens, Georgia, Kelly Towns, Alexandria, VA, grandchildren, James Arthur Allred, Benton Rosson Allred, Ava Josephine Allred, brother, David Towns and wife Janet, Arabi, LA He was preceded in death by his parents, Coleman "Red" Towns and Josephine "Billie" Rosson Towns. He was a Senior Engineer / Project Manager for the United States Army Corps of Engineers and GSA Consulting Engineers. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Chris was an avid bird and star watcher, an active member of the Louisiana Wild Fowl Carvers and Collectors Guild, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and helping others. "He was never one to put himself first" Chris' family is heart broken but comforted with their memories of time with him. He had a huge family that grew exponentially. Everyone he met and worked with became new family members. He was loved by so many, it would be difficult to try to list everyone, but some very important people would include Kendrick Green, Leah Chase, and the Rodrigue family.
