Jane Marie Marcel Trahan, 81, died Sunday, April 14, 2013. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 9:00 AM until service time at First United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Paul Trahan, Houma, LA, daughters, Jana Hebert and husband Derwin, Houma, LA, Jacquelyn Moore, Houma, LA, grandchildren, Jena Sigur, Alex Hebert, Nicholas Hebert, Nicole Hebert Boudreaux and husband Ryan, great granddaughter, Addelai Boudreaux, brothers, Hayes Marcel, Jr., Edgar Marcel, sisters, Shirley Hebert, Jeanette Corvin. She was preceded in death by her, parents, Hayes Marcel and Esther Materne Marcel, grandchild, Mark Blanchard, Jr., brother, Lionel Marcel. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a teacher for the Terrebonne Parish School Board for thirty years retiring from Oakshire Elementary School. She loved taking care of her children and grandchildren
