Dorothy Welch Pellegrin, 81, died peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2013. She was a native of Sabine Pass, Texas and a resident of Chauvin, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, from 9:30 AM until service time at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, Louisiana. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years, Jessie Pellegrin; children, Debbie Hubbard and husband Neal, Jay Pellegrin and wife Alisha, and Jesslyn Ledet and husband Craig; grandchildren, Aimee Toups, Summer Pellegrin, Christian Ledet, Rebecca Ledet, and Chloe Pellegrin; great grandchildren, Jamie Hubbard and Eli Pellegrin; sister, Larrie Elms; brother, Tommy Welch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Hazel Welch, and sister, Margie Lee.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and the United Veterans League.
A loving wife and dedicated mother and grandmother, Dorothy touched many lives during her time here on Earth. Her legacy will be the lessons in selflessness and compassion she taught by how she lived her life and treated others.
