Donnie Dee Garrison, 66, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 12:00 PM until Service time at First United Methodist Church Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2 He is survived by his, Wife of 44 years, Anna Camp Garrison, Son, Robert Paul Garrison, Daughter, Dee Anna Lottinger and husband John, 3 Grandchildren, Hannah Garrison, Christopher Lottinger and Claire Lottinger, Sister, Brenda Sue Alford and husband Gary and survived by many loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his, Parents, Paul Bliss Garrison and Elsie Luke Garrison Asch. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, growing vegetables, helping others, and playing with his grandchildren. He was a loving brother, husband, father, and grandfather. The lives that he touched are uncountable. He was widely recognized as an expert in sugarcane variety development. He helped release over 20 varieties, which has helped the industry thrive.
