Monday, March 18, 2013, the world lost a man that made an impression on everyone he met. He never broke a promise, had an unshakably true and honest character, and lived by his moral conviction. He worked to achieve knowledge that impressed the most intelligent of people. He had a passion for books and history; always searching for more information. He would always say, "If you don't know the answer, find it." This is the man who taught us that it's okay to be "different," and that love isn't just a word; it is a deed. He taught us to have goals, to work hard for what we want to achieve, and to be strong even when it feels impossible. George Bernard Shaw said it well when he said, "Perhaps the greatest social service that can be rendered by anybody to this country and to mankind is to bring up a family." And that's exactly what Robert Hemphill dedicated his life to, family. "For without family, you have nothing."
