Hazel Cooper

Hazel Gravois Cooper, 93, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013. She was a native of Thibodaux, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 9:00 AM until service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, LA. She is survived by her sons, Philip J. Cooper and wife Shirlene, Houma, LA, Ronald C. Cooper and wife Phyllis, Houma, LA, Barry J. Cooper and wife Claudia, Kingwood, TX, Patrick J. Cooper and wife Liz, Houma, LA, daughter, Cheryl Cooper Zomber and husband Peter, Pacific Palisades, California, grandchildren, Rhonda Gros, Gwen Ferguson, Catherine Katzenmeyer M.D., Barry Cooper, Jr., Wendy Cooper, Jean-Paul Stafford, Lauren Cooper, twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Harold Cooper, parents, Joseph Gravois and Aimee Bergeron Gravois, brothers, Roy Gravois, Joe Gravois, Jr., son, Henry Cooper, Jr., granddaughter, Caroline Cooper. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society. Her hobbies were gardening, sewing and travel. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic School.
