Walter Hebert Jr., 64, a native and resident of Houma, died Saturday, March 1, 2008.
Visitation with a memorial service will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at 100 St. Louis St. in Houma.
He is survived by one daughter, Doreen Barfield of Pensacola, Fla.; one stepson, Timothy Smith and wife, Tanya; one stepdaughter, Rose Mary Giron; two sisters, Adeline Hebert and husband, Philo, and Joy Verrett and husband, John; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 14 step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalia Meza Hebert; his parents, Walter Francis Hebert and Augusta LeBouef Hebert; three brothers, Keith Hebert, David Hebert and Terry Hebert; and one sister, Nancy Hebert.
He was a tree cutter.
His favorite saying was: "Let the good times roll."
